The updated Remote Gambling and Software Technical Standards (RTS) is now live and can be found at the link below. This version incorporates the changes reported in the consultation responses document that was published last month.

It includes important information for ancillary lottery licence holders as well as those offering online instant win lotteries.

The Gambling Commission's response to the Remote Gambling and Software Technical Standards (RTS) consultation is now live.

The updated Remote Technical Standards will be published at the end of this month (June 2017).

Note that in the responses document, it has been confirmed that the RTS does not apply to ancillary remote lottery operators, although we do still expect them to be able to demonstrate that the RNG has been tested and is acceptably random, and also to conduct a security audit of their organisation.  The response also clarifies the different requirements for high frequency and instant win lotteries, in part three.

FPS Launches on 6th July 2017

In preparation for the launch, the Regulator has implemented changes within the Code of Fundraising Practice to mirror the requirements of the Fundraising Preference Service. More information on these changes can be found here.
